Abisko Awe

We were due to go exploring the wilderness around Abisko National Park, northern Sweden, in search of the Northern Lights one evening. Our guide wanted to explain to all the group the science of aurora before we went, so started a slideshow, I was watching the apps that show solar activity, and thought I should have a quick look outside - sure enough, the skies were starting to explode. We quickly told the group and ran outside, just in time for an incredibly bright, fast-moving dance rippling across the sky. Even with a 16mm wide-angle lens I couldn't fit it all in.
